Not all dogs have DNA files.

The facets of colors in the Pomeranian breed are unbelievable. In our pom family, at House of Poms, we have three different sable colors: 1 red, 1 orange, and 1 wolf. All of our sables carry the dilution factor. Their black is blue or chocolate. Tigger also carries the dilution gene in his sabling.  As his adult coat continually changes, different breeders across the board want to classify him as a sable in a class of his own.  He simply does not fit into one specific sable category of his own.  We have him classified as a blue & tan sable because that is what his puppy coat was the first six months.  However, according to American Pomeranian Club color descriptions, he would be classified a shaded sable.  We also have two creams, a solid dark blue parti-factored, a spotted blue parti, a piebald orange parti, a chocolate & tan parti-factored, a blue & tan merle parti-factored.

It has been a lot of fun working with the different combinations. As we do more research and investigate the pedigrees of our poms, we have learned what breeding certain colors should bring us.

We are new breeders and are trying to create the line we most adore, the exotics and the tiny ones.  But not so tiny that health becomes and issue.  We have links on this page that will help you with all the color variations.
